Crunch time!

In 3 weeks time I will be leaving to help out at  an orphanage in South Africa ,calledThamsanqa. It consists of three different houses, each with 6-8 children, ranging from 10 months to 18 years.During my 2 months there,I hope to be able to interact with the children and give them support and encouragement;but, who knows, maybe it will be me needing encouragement from them!!Their first language,in the main, will be Africaans, which was never on my school syllabus,so there may lie the first challenge.
During my stay,I will endeavour to keep updating the blogs.I do hope that I can give you an interesting insight into the lives of these children and how ouside help can be used successfully.

This weblog thing is great, yes, please do keep us posted on the progress (in English, please!) You are going to be fantastic, Eric - and what an experience for you AND the kids! Where in SA is Thamsanqa located? Maybe we can see it on Google Earth?
Keep up the updates, and please try to use the space bar on your keypad more ;)

Hi there! -
This is by far the most commendable and hugely inspirational task i have ever heard of from any of our friends [and they're a very proactive bunch!]. I think you will be awesome and so very entertaining. Your input with this kids will have an enormous positive impact. Well done Erico for being so brave and adventurous! I await the blogs to come with baited breath! Take care and please try and avoid being eaten/attacked by any animals! Sunny encouraging hug & kiss from the lyons den. Mx

Dear Eric: I guess your first, already best experience, will get a bigger phisical and spiritual heart. Thanks from my side to be so human with those ones who have less than you. You renewed my very glad admiration for you and your living goals.
All the best....
